The history of this commercial farm is interwoven with the history of 2 families. The proprietorship of Castellina, in the Montupoli region in the territory of Miglianico, was purchased by Rocco Di Tomo, a native of Miglianico, but emigrated to Venezuela looking for fortune. With sacrifices and years of hard work distant from the family, he succeeded in purchasing a vast land proprietorship in 1957 in the territory of Montupoli to leave to his own children.
For a long period such lands have exclusively been used for the subsistence of the large family.
After the death of their father in 1972, his smaller daughters Maria and Ann, after having inherited the land proprietorship, married the brothers Mario and Franco Aurora, already involved for many years in the field of the agricultural mechanics.
From the love of the land and its products, and supported by the many approvals received by whoever tasted the Red Wine Castellina and the Extra Virgin Olive Oil, they had the idea to give to the Rosso Castellina farm a more commercial nature, whose mission is to have as result high quality natural products, obtained through naturalness with respect for tradition, thanks to the territory characteristics and the mild climate so favourable to the grapevine cultivation.
They didn't want to improvise so relied on the professionalism and the experience of Mr Franco D'Eusanio, owner of Chiusa Grande and esteemed advisor of commercial grapevine farms.
